Saga Book Club Book Report

I gave the Book report at our Saga Book Club held on February 19, 2019 on Marlene's book "Parenting with the Spirit- The Answer is More Love".

Marlene's book stresses that every child is different, and the Spirit will help us tailor our approach to best suit each of their needs. She shows how to use the love of God with greater abundance to raise our children in an envioronment of tenderness, self-empowerment, and spiritual inspiration.

This book is different form most parenting books because it is full of stories and clear cut advice for specific situations through real-life examples.

There were 23 of my Tempe friends at book club to hear my report on Marlene's book. Many of them said that they want to buy a copy to help them with their grandchildren.

My BYU Family

I am so grateful that my five grandchildren graduating from High School this year were all admit ed to BYU for next year. Tyler, Levi,Ashley and Betsy are all admitted to BYU and Rachel to BYU Idaho. Betsy drew this drawing after learning that she was admitted to BYU nex year.

Back Home in Arizona

I flew from Salt Lake City back to Arizona early Saturday morning February 16, 2019.

The view from the plane of the agriculture around the valley in Arizona was beautiful.

I enjoyed all the beautiful views from the plane.

It is good to be back home and enjoy all the gifts of love from my children.

We had a good visit together on Sunday evening.

Alissa and here with Ray and got some ideas from Amy on growing her kayaking business.

Amy had lots of good suggestions for her.

We had a fun evening together.

Leona and Lyn's Wedding

My twin Sister, Leona was married to Lyn Kimball on February 15, 2019 in Draper, Utah.

All seven of Leona's children came to the wedding.

They were married by Lyn's brother who is a federal judge.

After their wedding Leona talked and then Lyn sang his new wife a love song .

Kenneth and Jenni came to their wedding.

Melvin brought me down to Draper from his home in Farmington. I appreciate the support of my sons at my twin sister's wedding.

Monday, February 18th Rauna and Fred took me with them to an openhouse for the Newly weds at Sheri and Tom's home.

Two of my brothers and their wives came to the open house in Mesa. Rolf and Jena, Leona and Lyn, Rey and Margaret and me.

Giving Service

Melvin as the Bishop in his ward planned for his family to give service on Valentine Day 2019.

They took care of the children in their ward so that their parents could go on a date together.

There was lots of activity with all the children that came. This little girl loved to play dress up.

Melvin had treats planned for all of the children from his ward that came.

It was the 4th birthday today for this little boy in their ward. Melvin put candles on the brownies and we sang Happy Birthday to him.

He loved blowing out the candles on his cake.

The children had a good time while their parents were also having a good time on a Valentine Date.

Melvin and Tami are so good to help their parents with all of their projects.

Friday morning, February 13th Tami and I went to an endowment session at the Ogden Temple.

This was my first time to be at the Ogden Temple.

Before coming home I bought this plant to take to my friend Annette who is in the Mackay Hospital after falling down the stairs and breaking her pelvis and hip. I appreciate Tami taking time to let me go and visit her and cheer her up.
