Mesa High Baccalaureate

Sunday afternoon, May 19, 2013 I went to the Mesa High Baccalaureate.
My two granddaughters were chosen from the over 650 members of the graduating class to participate in Baccalaureate.
Jamie played violin with the Chamber Strings that provided the prelude music.
                                                            I enjoyed their music.
The stage was decorated in the purple and gold Mesa High Colors and the words Tradition, Carry on, and Bam.
Carry On is Mesa High's Motto.
The graduates in their caps and gowns filed into the auditorium.
Emily and Jake  welcomed everyone to Baccalaureate.
Jake is the Student Body President.
Jamie sang a beautiful solo, Hold On.
Her mother accompanied her on the piano.
This was a fitting song for the graduates.
Jamie has a beautiful voice and did such a good job.
At the end of the song she turned to thank her accompanist.
Jake and Emily gave the Salute to Excellence.
They told about the accomplishments of their class during their time in high school.
They have done lots of amazing things.
The Chamber Choir sang "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing".
Jamie joined Emily to sing Carry On.
The Mesa High Alumni sang on the last verse, Carry On, Mesa High, Cary On, ye sons and daughters true.  Let this anthem reach the sky, Build ye glorious visions new.  We’ll fight forever for the right, Carry On with hearts aflame.  Traditions great and mighty deeds, Ann Honor to thy name.  Carry On!
Carry On ! Carry On! Carry On!
Jamie and Emily walked out together with their fellow graduates.
Marlene is trying to get some pictures with her camera.
Emily with both of her grandmothers.
What a blessing to be the grandmother of these cute girls.

I know they will continue to do great things in their lives.
Jamie and Emily plan to room together at Brigham Young University.
                                                               Emily and her Mom.
                                                           Jamie and her parents.
Parker came with his parents to Baccalaureate.
                                                        Jamie and her older sister.
Emily with two of her brothers.
                                                          Mesa High Graduate.
One last picture with my granddaughter.
                                                                           Friends.
I took my graduation gift and card congratulating Emily over to her home.
Then I went to Jamie's home to give her my card and gift.
I gave the girls a book called Forever A Princess.  I wrote in the book that they are "forever a princess, daughters of a King.  I then expressed my love for them on the front page of the book and in a special graduation card.
I gave Carinne a Forever a Princess book.
Adrianne seemed to like her book too.
Jamie checks out all of the "cool" things in the book.
I had fun watching the girls discover all of the things for princesses in the book.
I think Carinne liked my gfit.
Jamie put on her princess crown.
Three of my cute granddaughters who are princesses.

Peach Festival

Ray called and invited me to go with him to the Peach Festival on Saturday morning, May 18, 2013.
It was held at the Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek.
We rode the hay wagon out to the peach orchard.
The wagon was pulled by a big tractor.
                                                              It was a nice day.
                                                          I enjoyed being with Ray.
We enjoyed picking our own peaches.
They said that we could sample them as we picked.
There were crowds of people picking peaches.
We walked back instead of riding the hay wagon.
On the way we saw some animals.
They had booths and children's rides.
Ray and I had a good visit as we walked around.
On the way home we stopped by to see the Gilbert Temple under construction.
They are building a stake center on the other side of the parking lot.
The Openhouse for the temple is planned for late fall.
The Gilbert Temple is a big beautiful temple.
Later in the afternoon I went with Amy to Costco.  We ate dinner at Culver's after.  I enjoy spending time with my children.
