Thanksgiving in Utah

I am grateful on this Thanksgiving Day, November 21, 2012, for my family and the invitation to spend Thanksgiving with my children and grandchildren in Utah.  Wednesday evening after my shift at the Conference Center my friends took me to Melvin and Tami's on their way home.
Tami already had lots of the Thanksgiving dinner ready.
Melvin brought pizza for dinner since all the ovens were busy with Thanksgiving cooking.
Tami had this cute Thanksgiving centerpiece  using kernels of corn.
In the basement where I have a room they had their train track set  up all around the room.  It looks like everyone had a good time playing with the little boys.
I am grateful for scriptures and  that my children read the scriptures daily with their children before having family prayer together.
Tami finished up some last minute cooking.
We played a fun game together before going to bed.
They introduced me to a new game called "Wits and Wagers".
This was fun to have everyone giving someone else a back rub.
I have so many things to be thankful for at this Thanksgiving time.  I am especially grateful for a righteous posterity that enjoy being together, for the gospel and the plan of happiness made possible by the atonement of Jesus Christ to be together again as eternal families.  I know that Jay and our sons are preparing a place for us there.
Tami just added the drapes to her living room.  I enjoy seeing her decorating projects.
They soaked the turkey before roasting it to bring out all the good flavors.
The turkey is ready to go into the oven.
I am thankful for Logan.  He is my youngest grandbaby.
We watched the Macy Thanksgiving Parade on television.
Tanner sings a song for his Grandma.
Logan wants to do anything he sees his big brother doing.
The turkey is ready for the Thanksgiving feast.
I helped cut up the potatoes for our Thanksgiving feast.
I also helped entertain the little boys so that their Mother could finish the meal preparations.  Tanner was helping his Mickey Mouse toy play the Candy Land Game.
Mickey Mouse would take a turn and then Tanner and I would have our turns.
I love being with my cute little grandsons.
Lauren played a piece that she learned on the piano.
Kaitlyn helps her mother make place mats for our Thanksgiving table.
I helped with some of the projects for our Thanksgiving dinner.
We set up this table for the younger children.
Kenneth and Jenni and family arrived from Provo with more food for our dinner.
They unloaded all of the food.  As you can see we had lots of good food to eat.
Everything is about ready for our meal together.
My sons are both doctors and have lots in common.
The girls are ready to eat.  Ashley and Betsy always enjoy being together.
We had lots of good vegetables to snack on before the meal.
Betsy brought an Owl Thanksgiving hanging to help get us in the festive mood.
                                                           Tami is carving the turkey.
Logan makes a cute bat man.
                                                           Carter shows me his hat.
Last minute preparations on the Thanksgiving dinner.
                                                              Lots of delicious food

Andy pretends he is playing a guitar.
Jared entertains us on the piano.
