I enjoyed my weekly session at the Mesa Arizona Temple on August 26, 2014.
The sunset that evening was beautiful. We have beautiful sunsets in Arizona.
I enjoyed walking through Temple Square on Wednesday, August 27, 2014.
I always have to stop and admire the flowers.
I look forward to seeing the Salt Lake Temple each week.
Ray met me at the Salt Lake Temple.
We went together to the Church History Museum.
The Church History Museum has been opened for thirty years.
The Museum's Main Exhibit, "
A Covenant Restored" opened in 1990/
The Church Museum is closing on October 6th for a year long renovation.
Thiss is a sun stone from the Nauvoo Temple.
The early pioneers traveled to Utah on covered wagons.
This photo at the museum shows the covered wagons at Winter Quarters.
Ray was able to identify the early Latter-day Saint colonization on the map.
We wanted to see all the exhibits s again before they are changed.
Some of the Saints came to Zion on ships like this one.
Some of the pioneers walked across the plains pulling handcarts.
This stained glass was in one of the early church buildings.
July 24th, Ray's birthday ,is also an important day in Church History.
These works of art displayed in the basement invite us to ponder Christ's love.
Christ showed love for the One.
President Uchtdorf said, ":The closer we approach Him the more profoundly we experience love.""

Each of these men were called as a prophet and Church President of TheChurch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to declare the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
This exhibit shows how each Church President combined his unique background and personality ad talents with divine revelation met the challenges of his time.

President Kimball lived in Arizona. He was Jay's Stake President. He visited Tampico, Mexico when I was a missionary there.

This is a beautiful wall hanging showing the presidents of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
This is a replica of the angel Moroni that is on top of our temples throughout the world.
Ray is a scout master so he enjoyed the exhibit showing 100 years of Scouting.
My first tour at the Conference Center was with Ray and his friend Kimberly.
Kimberly only had time for part of the tour.
I took Ray up to the roof. He enjoyed the black wall.
"

The wild flowers on the roof are beautiful.
I enjoyed giving a tour to my son.
My second tour was with a man from London with his friend now living in Utah. He recently moved to Utah after living in London for thirty yeas.
My next tour was with this couple from Utah with their daughter and her husband. They met at Dixie College where he played basketball.
This is a beautiful bouquet in the Book of Mormon Gallery.
The young couple were on their way to England where he has a scholarship to play basketball and get his master's degree.
My last tour was with these folks from China. They didn't speak much English. We had a group of sixty people from the Ukraine come for a tour.
I walked back through Temple Square to take the shuttle back to the airport. I enjoy going to Salt Lake every week and being a Conference Center missionary.
