Early the next morning we ate breakfast and then started a long drive to Des Moines, Iowa.
At Mcdonald's where we stopped for lunch they were honoring the Pony Express riders.
This was one of the stations for the Pony Express riders.
I enjoyed reading about some of the pony express riders. One man rode 350 miles without a break.
Mark enjoyed visiting with this farmer about his fancy farming equipment.
It took us all day to drive to Des Moines, Iowa where Dallin and Laura were waiting for us. They kept Maylee awake waiting for us.
They have a beautiful little apartment right across the street from the Des Moines University.
We were all happy to arrive at their home.
They made us feel welcome.

We drove through some of Des Moines on our way to the park.

We went to the Bray's Lake Park.
The boys enjoyed playing frisbee.

We made sandwiches for our picnic lunch.

We called the boys to come for our picnic.
They had to throw the frisbee one more time before coming.

Ryan wanted to build some sand castles in the sand on the beach so his brothers went with him.
The policeman came over to t ell them that the beach is closed.
They didn't get to finish their sand castles.
The Iowas State Capitol Building in Des Moines is beautiful it's gold dome.
Swimming helped cool everyone off.
Maylee wore her swimming suit for the first time.She is so cute.
The parents have fun with their little daughter.
She provides lots of joy for all of us.

Back at home they put on Maylee's pajamas.

He wanted pizza. This was a great was to end a fun day visiting Dallin, Laura and Maylee in Des Moines, Iowa.
