Joy in Temple Service

I enjoyed all the beautiful flowers around the Mesa Temple when I went to do temple work for deceased family members on March 16, 2017.
                                                  The Keating Ward Relief Society had a birthday party to celebrate Relief Society's 175th birthday.                                       
We had a nice dinner of Cafe Rio Mexican Food and then played games. Each table was decorated differently.

                          Friday I went to an endowment session at the Gilbert Temple.

                                               This is another beautiful temple.

                       There are lots of pretty flowers and cactus around the temple grounds.

                  I like this painting of "The Last Supper" in Erin and Dantley's ward building.

We went back to the Mesa Temple on Saturday, March 18th to do sealings for some family members. This was a great way to celebrate my mothers 110th birthday.   I felt a wonderful spirit going to a temple three days in a row.

A Wonderful Trip

                       I had a great view of Phoenix from the air on Tuesday March 14, 2017.

                                                   We flew over downtown Phoenix.

           I had a good view of the Convention Center and Diamondback Stadium form the air.

                               I enjoy sitting by the window where I have a good view .

             The snow topped mountains and the canyons make for some beautiful scenery.

 We flew over Utah Lake.  I could see the "Y" on "Y" mountain but it was too far away to  take a photo.

                                 I had a good view of Utah Lake and the great Salt Lake.

                                                    The clouds were beautiful.

 I enjoyed spending the night with my children and grandchildren.  We had scripture study todether.

                                      Kaitlyn and Ashley played a violin duet for me.

 This is the one they will be performing tomorrow night at the Solo and Ensemble Festival.

                                           I read a bedtime story to my grandsons.

                                                  This is my favorite thing to do.

                             Kaitlyn and Ashley continued to practice their violin duet.

                                        Tanner and Carter worked to put together a lego tank.                                                 
                                            It had lots of little pieces to put together.

               I brought some some fabric for Tami to use for costumes for the school productions.                               
                                    Melvin helps Kaitlyn with her math homework.

 Wednesday morning I watched my grandsons so that Tami could stay at Lauren's viola lesson.

                              I enjoy spending time with these cute little grandsons.

 I helped them get ready for school and prepared breakfast for them.  Carter likes his spider man jacket and cap.

 After we took the boys to school Tami invited me to go with her and her mother to Cracker Barrel for breakfast.

My friends came by for me to go with them to the Conference Center.  The theme of the Church Building hosting for 2017 is a quote by Thomas S. Monson,  "As we follow the example of the Savior and live as He lived and as He taught, that light will burn within us and will light the way for others.  

                                           These girls came from Texas for a tour.

                    There is a beautiful view of Temple Square from the Conference Center roof.

                       My security position was in the Hall of the Presidents.

                  I enjoy this stained glass of Christ healing at the pool of Bethesda.

                Most of these presidents of the Church have served during my life time.

                        This sculpture shows the importance of supporting our leaders.

                                     The "First Vision" Sculpture is my favorite.

 Carol, my good friend came to visit me while I was at the Hall of the Presidents. We had a good time catching up on each other's lives.

The people on this  tour had on Jackrabbit Shirts.  I thought they were from the Arizona high school where my grandsons attend  but they said they were from North Dakota and were in Salt Lake to cheer on their team in the NBA March Madness Tournament.

This couple that I took on tour had on a Arizona Diamondbacks shirt and were from Montana and wearing the shirt just because he likes red.

                               Everyone enjoys the view of Temple Square from the roof.

                                       They wanted to walk over by the waterfall.

 The daffodils are just starting to bloom along City Creek in front of the Conference Center.

                                              I enjoy walking by the temple.

       I love the temples and the special spirit I feel when I enter the "House of the Lord"

      A friend gave me flowers and chocolates to thank me for helping her with a school project.
