A Wonderful Saturday

Saturday, February 18, 2017 was a great day.  It  began with the baptism of Brig, a great grandson.

                                                 He was baptized by his father.

This is all of us that were at the baptism.  Brig has lots of wonderful support to help him in his life.

                    Brig's grandparents gave him his own set of scriptures for his birthday.

                                                              He is excited.

IZ hope that he will read daily from the scriptures and know like I know that they are true and the word of God.

                                      I gave him a card and money for his baptism.

                                 Brig is reading the message I wrote on the card.

I as grateful to have another great grandson baptized.  I hope he will always remember the feeling he had as he was baptized.

Brig was confirmed a member of the church by his father assisted by those holding the Priesthood.
                           
            Bonnie and Spencer invited us to  their home after the baptism.

                 Their home is in Apache Junction close to the Superstition  Mountains.

                                                  Bonnie served us a nice lunch.

 After the baptism we only had a few minutes before I left again with Mark and Marlene to go to the AMEA West Region Music Festival at Skyline High School                  

Kyle was honored for making auditions to be in the Regional Choir all four years of his high school..

                    He was one of only a few that were in the Regional Choir for four years.

                                  Both Kyle and Tyler were in the West Region Choir.

                                      Both Kyle and Tyler sang with the Bass section.

                                              They sang some beautiful songs.

                         They had a good variety of different styles of music..

                                              I enjoyed very much their concert.

                     We took this photo of them with their Mesa High Choir Director.

                                    They had lots of family support at their concert.

Amy invited us to a barbecue at her beautiful home before our family temple session.

                                  We went from the concert straight to her home.

                                            Amy has a beautiful back yard.

                                             We enjoyed as wonderful meal together.

                                              I always enjoy being with my family.

Tyler works on the puzzle we gave Amy that we purchased in Indonesia on our mission.

After the barbecue we went to the Mesa Arizona Temple for an endowment session.

                                           This has been a wonderful family day.

Beautiful Arizona Weather

We are enjoying beautiful weather in Arizona.  These are the kind of day that you want to be out enjoying the sunshine.

I walked with Marlene around the Silvergate Park Thursday ,morning, February 16, 2017.  We had a good visit while we walked.

                                     Marlene's friend came later to join us.

              At lunch time I walked around the late and Amy rode her bike to meet me.

                      When we met we sat on the bench and ate the lunch that I brought.

                                I had a good visit with my daughter while we ate.

                                                      We enjoyed the view.

                                                       It was a beautiful day.

                         I am blessed to have daughters that like to spend time with me.

                                                     This gave us both exercise.

After lunch Amy rode her bike back to her home and I walked back to my home.

                                      On the way I enjoyed watching the ducks.

                            These two ducks were also enjoying a walk in the park.

                                  Everyone was enjoying the beautiful spring day.

         For our night Relief Society activities we made heart pillows for the hospitals.

                                    We made heart pillows in thee different  sizes.

                 I stuffed the pillows and hand sewed the pillows after they were stuffed.

During the evening we completed 56 heart pillows and have more that don't need much to finish.

We ended the evening with a chocolate fountain to dip goodies  for a Valentine treat.

Friday I had a two for one coupon at Cafe Rio so I invited Rauna, another daughter to enjoy it with me.  I love spending time with my daughters.
