I am happy that I could be with my daughter, Joann, for her birthday. I sang "Happy Birthday" to her early Sunday morning, November 15, 2015.
Joann chose chocolate muffins, omelet and cracklin oat bran cereal for her birthday breakfast.
I gave Joann the book "Lehi's Isle of Promise" about the Book of Mormon for her birthday and also the book, "Not in Vain" about Ellis Shipp, a pioneer women doctor. Joann is a nurse and also liked to read.
Preston shows me his BYU pajamas that he got last Christmas. He gave a good talk in Sacrament meeting today about being thankful.

For dinner she wanted roast beef with potatoes, carrots and onions. I made a gravy to go with it.

Joann got birthday calls for her older children that are not living at home.
Robert in his card said that now they are the same age again.
Joann with all of her birthday gifts. After the birthday party I gave my children and grandchildren a special home evening lesson encouraging them to live so that the Holy Ghost can direct their lives. I bore my testimony about the important things in life at the end of my lesson.
Joann took me to the Dayton airport at 4 am on Monday morning for my flights back to Arizona.

I am happy that I got to spend time with my Ohio family.
All of my children and grandchildren are very special to me.
I flew to Charlotte, North Carolina on a little plane similar to this one and then transferred to a bigger plane for the four hour ride to Arizona. I am grateful for my airline privileges that allow me to spend time with my families scattered all over the United States.
