Saturday, August 4th, 2018 was another great day in Nauvoo. .
. Dianna and I began the day with an endowment session in the Nauvoo Temple.
This brought back lots of memories of when Jay and I were ordinance workers in the Nauvoo Temple.

We drove out to Carthage for a tour of the Carthage Jail.

I enjoyed serving at the Carthage Jail and bearing testimony of Joseph Smith, the Prophet of the Restoration.
We lived in this house next to the Carthage Jail. while serving a mission there.
We hurried back into Nauvoo for a wagon ride.

We visited the Sarah Granger Kimball Home where the idea for the Relief Society was introduced.
The Scovil Bakery
In the bakery they talked about the original Nauvoo plate and we were given a gingerbread cookie.
The Cultural Hall is located next to the Bakery.
The Stage on the Cultural Hall where we performed in Rendezvous.
This brings back so many memories.
The third floor of the Cultural Hall whee socials were held.
This is the same floor where Joseph and Emma danced.
There was as beautiful view of the Nauvoo Temple from the third floor of the Cultural Hall.
Our next stop was the upper room of the Red Brick Store.
It was in this room that Joseph Smith organized the Relief Society.

Next to the Nauvoo Visitor's Center is the Women's Gardens with beautiful sculptures. This is one of "Joseph and Emma".
