Picture Day at the Easter Pageant

Our Easter Pageant director invited us to come early and take pictures on the Easter Pageant stage on March 21, 2015.  This helped make lots of memories for the years to come.
I enjoyed spending time at the Christus Statue in the Mesa Temple Visitor Center.
The cactus reminds us that we are in Arizona.
On the stage at the Easter Pageant.
It is such a great blessing and opportunity to be in the cast of the Mesa 'Jesus the Christ' Easter Pageant.
On the rock on the Easter Pageant stage.
I am enjoying so much being a follower of Christ in the Pageant.
"I Stand all Amazed at the Love Jesus Offers Me..."
"God Loved Us So He Sent His Son"
"Christ the Lord Is Risen Today"
My grandchildren came so that I could take pictures of them.
                                                           Tyler is a temple guard.
Tyler has several costume changes in the pageant.
Kyle has several parts in the pageant.
We celebrated his 16th birthday at the Pageant.
Kyle is a banner carrier.  He caries the banner for the Tribe of Judah.
In the Ten Virgins ballet, Kyle is a Trumpeter.
He calls the people to come to the feast.
Kyle celebrated his 16th birthday at the Easter Pageant.
Quinn is a Herald Angel in the Pageant.
I asked him to do one of the poses that he does on top on the Angel Stage.
It was finally our turn to have our family picture taken on the rock.
I am happy to participate in the Easter Pageant with my children and grandchildren.
What a fun activity to do together.
                                                       Ryan with a Roman soldier.
He wanted his picture taken holding a lamb.
                                                                 Feed my lambs.
The Garden Tomb on the back side of the rock made a good setting for a photo.
I love this opportunity to be with my family at the Pageant.
"He is not here for He is Risen!"
This is the pose that Ryan wanted.  He is one of the children in the scene of Jesus and the children.
My four grandsons in the pageant.
Mark is one of the twelve disciples that Jesus chose.
This is a great group of men.
We had another family picture taken with the temple in the background.
Ryan wanted his picture taken with the Roman soldiers.
They let him hold their sword.
This was lots of fun for a ten year old.
I have so many memories of being in the pageant in years past.
Our family #23 back of the Pageant stage.
After our rehearsal our director let the cast go down into the audience.
We got to see the ascension of Christ since we dont' get to see it during the performance.
This was a great finale to a wonderful pageant.

Back Stage at the Easter Pageant

It is great to walk on the sacred temple grounds each night as we rehearse the Easter Pageant.
The flowers around the temple are beautiful.
The view looking down First Avenue from the front of the Temple.
We rehearsed the pageant on March 18th in the rain.
We were happy for an umbrella to keep us as dry as possible.
Mark looks so different in his beard.  He plays the part of Phillip, one of Christ's 12 disciples.
The Christus Statue in the Temple Visitor Center shines a light out to the world.

Men were at work putting out the chairs for the Easter Pageant.
It takes lots of volunteers to put on the Pageant.
There are 9,000 seats ready to be filled for folks to see the Easter Pageant.
The Visitor Center is in front of the Temple that you can see in the background.
                                                                  The Easter Pageant Stage.
We sit in our assigned families waiting to perform.
This is the view of the stage from where we are sitting.
Some sheep are even part of the cast.
The angel stage is on top of the other stages at the Easter Pageant.
There are lots of stairs for the cast members to go on stage when  they perform.
Some of my Easter Pageant Family.
Ryan likes to pet the sheep.
He especially likes this little lamb.
The temple is beautifully lit up at night.
Everything is ready for the opening night of the Easter Pageant.
This is a beautiful setting for the Easter Pageant.
All the costumes for the Easter Pageant are authentic and beautiful.
I am enjoying so much bearing my testimony of Christ as I participate in the Easter Pageant.
This little horse is in the Adam and Eve scene in the Garden of Eden.
The twelve disciples are given direction about their scenes.
