Tulips at Temple Square

I enjoyed my service at the Conference Center on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.  I flew up on Tuesday so that I could be a prayer meeting.  I was assigned to give the spiritual thought.  My thought was on the atonement.  I began by reading Jay's poem about the Atonement and then I gave some thought I have about the atonement with my study these past weeks and some quotes from leaders.  The purpose of the atonement is to make bad men good and good men better and to change human nature.  We must come to rely upon the merits and mercy an grace of the Holy Messiah so that the Lord can change us to a new creature.  We need to allow him to.  I am learning that consecration is being really ready to give everything to the Lord.
The fountain is a nice meeting place outside the auditorium.
This is looking up from the fountain towards the roof.  It is also beautiful from the third floor looking down at the fountain.
My first tour was with a couple from BYU with the wife's parents from Ghana.  .
When I first met them I thought her husband was a missionary with his contacts from his mission but I soon learned that they are married.
They liked the wall of black Brazilian granite on the roof.
Sandblasted on the wall are images which represent the family of man and the nations of the earth.
The wild flowers and grasses on the roof are starting to come up.
All of the yellow flowers on the roof are beautiful.
These folks are all good members of the church and a delight to take on tour.
They wanted me to be in one of their pictures.
This sculpture at the Conference Center is titled "Sharing the Fruit of the Tree of Life".
My next tour was with a couple from Oregon with a man from Anchorage, Alaska and a man from Wyoming.  They said they were in Salt Lake on business.  None of them seemed to know much about the church but seemed to feel the spirit of the Conference Center and be happy to learn.
On the way to the TRAX i enjoyed walking through Temple Square.
The tulips at Temple Square are beautiful.
I enjoy the different color combinations of the beautiful tulips.
                                                 I love beautiful flowers.
The pink and white tulips are beautiful.
I always look forward to seeing  the majestic Salt Lake Temple.
The flower beds are so beautiful.
The flower boxes on  the wall add to the beauty.
This was a beautiful day in Salt Lake City.
I am grateful for the beautiful flowers that God created for us to enjoy.
The little faces on the pansies are cute.
Another beautiful flower bed on Temple Square.
This is a beautiful view looking toward the conference center.
The Assembly Hall and Eagle Monument on Temple Square.
Arizona has some beautiful lakes as seen from the air.
Thursday, April 14, 2016 I went to an endowment session at the Mesa Arizona Temple.
                                                          This is a beautiful temple.
There are also some beautiful flowers around this temple.
I made a new arrangement on my table with the beautiful glassware my parents got for their wedding present in 1930.  These beautiful pieces are 86 years old.  I added a photo of my mother with her three daughters.  I am blessed to have two beautiful  sisters.

Visiting Melvin, Tami and Family

After our Indonesian Mission Reunion on April 12, 2016 Tina and San San took me to the airport for my flight to Utah.
Tami came to the airport to take me to their home.
On the way we stopped by to see their new home being built.
Logan is a cute little grandson and so fun to be with.
I enjoyed being with the family for scripture study and prayer.
Kayla always has lots of home work.  She went on an orchestra trip to California so has lots of makeup work to turn in.
Melvin is a great Dad and loves being  with his family.
Melvin and Tami make  great team.
I didn't have time to change so wore my batik on the plane.
Wednesday morning Kaitlyn left early to catch the bus to high school.
Tami took Lauren to an early morning before school viola lesson.
I took care of  my little grandsons boys while they were gone.
They can watch their new home being built from their old home.
Melvin and Tami have their old home up for sale.
It was raining when it was time for Tanner and Carter to leave for school.
Tanner found an umbrella so that they could stay dry.
Logan was the only one left at home.
He brought some books for me to read to him.
I enjoy reading to my grandchildren.
Tami and I  took Kaitlyn's violin to her Viewmont High School for  her.
The trees full of blossoms are so pretty.
Tanner loves to color and draw.  He is making designs with the stamps.
