Day 8 - May 12th Royal Caribbean "Adventure of the Sea" Cruise Ship

It took us an hour and a half from Ronda to Cadiz where we boarded the Cruise Ship on May 11th.
The cruise began in London but we didn't board it until at Cadiz.
I took a couple of pictures of Cadiz as we drove through it on the bus.
It didn't look much different from the other cities we have been to in Spain.
Our first glimpse of our Cruise Ship in the harbor was exciting.
We didn't have to wait in line to board the ship since we were the only ones boarding in Cadiz.
This ship was our home for the next eleven days.
Toni and I were assigned to room 7471 on the 7th deck toward the back of the ship.
I walked around the ship to see our new surroundings.  I took this photo on Deck 5 which is the main deck.
This is what it looks like on Deck 11 which is almost the top of the ship.
I saw different decorations all over the "Adventure of the Sea" ship.
This is the entrance into where the shows are held on the ship.
The only way you can get from the back to the front of the ship is to go to Deck five and walk through and then go up or down.
This is a different kind of ship than the one that we are on.

The Conference Center where we had our meetings was on Deck 2.  Sunday evening Michael Wilcox gave his first lecture "Seeing with the Saviors Eyes".
A juggler put on a cute act juggling different things.
                                                              He was quite entertaining.
                                                          Here he is juggling axes.
He is juggling three axes at the same time.
For the final act he got on a unicycle.
A man from the audience helped him get his balance.
He then juggled some knives while on the unicycle.
                                                    We enjoyed watching him perform
This is what we found in our room when we arrived.
Ron and Robin, Anita, Eric and Michael Wilcox were all introduced.
They are the directors on this "Fun for Less" Tour.
Every day they put the day of the week on the elevators in the ship.  We listened to two more lectures by Michael Wilcox, The titles of the lectures were "El Cid, Don Quixote and Sancho", Spain's Great Heroes" and "The Rebirth of Civilization" f From Da Vinci to The David."/
We were entertained with an ice show while on the ship.
The ice wasn't very big but they did some beautiful skating.
I loved watching how graceful they were on the ice.
They even had a trapeze act while ice skating.
                                                       These skaters wee really good.
This was another one of the acts in the Ice Show.
The different colored lights added to the magic of the show.

The ice skaters take a final bow.
We had dinner every night on the cruise every evening at 6 pm at the same table.  Assigned  to our table were Richard, Pauline, Mary, Nina, Jack, Gayle, Tony and me.
Our waiter is from India.   Here he is with all of the other waiters..
                                                               This is our stateroom.
I spent time every evening on the computer recording the events of the day and downloading my pictures.

Day 7 - May 11th Ronda Spain

We left Seville early in the morning to travel one and a half hour to Ronda.
On the way we passed some interesting landscapes.
I took these photos of  cute little towns in Spain from the bus.
                                                              Spain is a beautiful country.

The bus stopped at the Bus Station in Ronda /
We walked a couple of blocks to the main plaza in town.
Lots of people live in apartment bjuildings.
We saw Mcdonald signs all over Spain.
Like in all the cities in Spain the Cathedral was the main building in the Plaza de Espana.
We learned that Ronda was celebrating their Founders Day.  The military was closing the roads to welcome the runners aft er their 102 kilometer race.
These runners had been running for many many hours.
We welcomed them as they passed the finish line along with the crowds of city residents.
This was the only street in this little town.
As we walked down the street we saw the Bull Ring.
There were statues of famous bull fighters.
These two ladies had on mantillas which is typical Spanish dress.
A monument to some hero in Ronda.
The village is built on a tall cliff.
This is the view from the only street in town looking down from the cliff.
It was hard to get a photo to show what a steep cliff the city of Ronda is built on.
                  .
This was a cute little town on a very high cliff.

After the runners had completed their race they had a parade.
The band played the slowest band music I have ever heard.
The band marched up to the church where the  rest of the parade was forming.
This was one of the first entries in the parade.
I took this coat of arms at one of the nearby restaurants.
The parade is getting ready to begin.
The Catholic Father was at the beginning of the paade dressed in his robes.
He was followed by men carrying the Virgin Mary.
Children were carrying baskets of flowers.
It was a hot day as I watched the parade.
Next in the parade came the band.
They were followed by lots of young girls wearing white dresses.
The boys had on black suits.
They paraded down the only street in town.
The little children were so cute in their white  shirts and ties and black pants and skirts.
It was great to help them celebrate their Founders Day.
I always enjoy watching a parade.
                                                                   Aren't they cute?
We followed the parade through town.
This was a monument along the way to some of their heroes.
There were lots of people walking up and down the only street in Ronda.
The television camera was filming the parade.
We walked back to the bridge with the view of the high cliff we are on.
This family is out for a fun stroll.
I looked out on the other side of the bridge.
This is the view of the cliff from the opposite side that I took walking down the street.
You can see winding roads on this side of the bridge.
Looking back at the bridge over the cliff.
This is a cute little town in Spain.
Another look at the bridge and the cliff.
I guess in ancient days this city was protected so high up on the cliff.
There were red flags draped from some of the windows along the street.
They had written on them "Paz" which means peace.
We walked back to where we began at  the main Cathedral in the Plaza de Espana.

                                                                      A monument in their park.
This was a fun visit to a cute little town built high up on a cliff.
